(2n^2 + 4n + 4)(4n − 5)

=(2n^2 + 4n + 4)(4n + −5)

=(2n^2)(4n) + (2n^2)(−5) + (4n)(4n) + (4n)(−5) + (4)(4n) + (4)(−5)

=8n^3 − 10n^2 + 16n^2 − 20n + 16n − 20

=8n^3 + 6n^2 − 4n − 20

Answer:

8n³ +6n² -4n -20

Explanation:

(2n² +4n +4)(4n -5) = (2n² +4n +4)(4n) +(2n² +4n +4)(-5) . . . distributive property

= 8n³ +16n² +16n -10n² -20n -20 . . . . . . . distributive property again

= 8n³ +n²(16-10) +n(16-20) -20 . . . . . . . . . and yet again, for collecting terms

= 8n³ +6n² -4n -20
