Both Enrico Fermi and Marie Curie were people devoted to physics, recognized by their contributions on the field of radioactivity. Both gave lectures on several colleges - Fermi lectured on prestigious amercian universities, while Curie did too on european universities for poor students.
Fermi based most of his work on previous experiments in which Curie was a major participant. Curie discovered high activity in several elements, such as polonium, uranium, radium. Fermi focused on artificial radioactivity produced by neutrons.
Both Fermi and Curie are Nobel Prize winners - Fermi was awarded with the Nobel Prize for Physics, and Curie was awarded with the Nobel Prize for Physics and the Nobel Prize for Chemistry.
