Answer:

It attempts to help people develop their individuality and realize their full potential.

Step-by-step explanation:

In contrast to other therapy approaches, Humanistic therapy focuses on the now, helping the individual realize his/her full potential through his/her own understanding. It does this by helping the individual gain a certain sense of the meaning of life or achieve self-realization.

A clear example of this approach is Abraham Maslow and his Hierarchy of Needs in which he describes a series of stages which need to be fulfilled in order to achieve self-realization.

Humanistic therapy promotes individuality and an intrinsic nature, helping the individual feel fulfilled.
