Answer:

The voyage of Cabot was found in the northwest passage, and it was claimed valuable territory in the Americas.

  • John Cabot claimed land is in Canada.
  • It was consired a failure, because they went for the northwest passage and failed to find it.

(short summary btw)

Step-by-step explanation:

  • An explorer named Giovanni Caboto lived in Venice and Spain. The Spaniards didn't want to hear about his proposal for another voyage. So, he moved his family to Bristol, England and changed his name to John Cabot and started sailing/exploring for England.
  • King Henry of the English monarchy gave their support and money for the another voyage because they wanted John to bring back wealth like species and silks but that didn't happen. When the crew returned they told about being able to scoop fish out of the water into baskets.
  • On this journey, John Cabot found the "new found land" also called the Vineland in North America - Canada. This voyage was considered a success so another trip with a fleet of five ships was planned. One ship returned from this voyage. John Cabot and the other for ships were never seen again.

Hope this helps! <3
