In February 23, 1857, the creation and foundation of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) took place to establish the creation of architecture as a profession. This was important because now ethical conduct and professionalism would be part of the career, as well as would create policies and contracts to create credentials for the architects.

Answer: The correct answer is : It was important because the cities grew larger and new inventions arrived in the cities. The architecture was used to build homes, parks and recreation areas, schools, libraries, train stations, banks, buildings, among others .. Very quickly licenses and schools for architecture were created. Architects with special certifications and training were also needed. The cities were running out of space.
