Find the common difference in the outputs to help find the missing outputs in the table. Be sure to show your work.

a:   5;    6;    7;   8;   9
b: 3.8; 4.6; 5.4; __; __

(I can't show the table so that's the best i can do. __ = missing outputs)

The missing outputs are 6.2 and 7 respectively.

Explanation:

The given outputs are: 3.8, 4.6, 5.4, ..... , .....

So, the difference between second output and first output
=4.6-3.8= 0.8

and the difference between third output and second output
=5.4-4.6=0.8

Thus, the common difference will be 0.8

That means, the fourth output will be 0.8 more than the third output and the fifth output will be 0.8 more than the fourth output.

So, the fourth output
= 5.4+0.8=6.2

and the fifth output
= 6.2+0.8= 7

Thus, the missing outputs are 6.2 and 7 respectively.
