answer : 3/5

Jasmine has 15 coins in her pocket. She has 3 nickels, 3 quarters, 3 dimes, and 6 pennies. Jasmine chooses a coin at random.

number of Total outcomes = 15

she selects a dime or a penny from her pocket

number of outcomes of a dime =3

number of outcomes of a penny =6

Number of outcomes of a dime or a penny = 9

Probability ( any event) =number of favorable outcomes divide by total number of outcomes

Probability ( a dime or a penny) =
(9)/(15) =(3)/(5)
