ANSWER:

A liquid measure is seen through and glass or plastic material so that the measures can be read easily and with accuracy.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • It is easy to read measurements from outside of the cups when they are made of clear plastic or glass.
  • These measuring cups are made from heat resistant plastic or glass so that these can be used to measure hot liquids as well.
  • Heat resistivity does not allow heat to pass through the cups and anyone holding the cup does not feel the heat.
  • Also when hot liquids are measured, the heat does not break the glass if it is heat resistant.

A liquid measure is see through because getting the right measure of liquid is essential when accuracy is necessary or required. It should be heat resistent plastic because most plastic cannot withstand heat and will of course melt when heated, unless they are made from silicone. Glass measuring cups can handle heat even really high temperatures.
