Each of grade 5 classes has 24 students. Student from 2 1/4 classes fit on a bus. How many students fit on a bus?

The answer is 54.
The reason is because 24 times 2 is 48. The 1/4 of a class of 24 is 6. So 48 from 2 classes plus 6 of 1/4 of a class of 24 is 54.
24×2= 48
24÷4=6
48+6=54
