Use the polynomial remainder theorem to evaluate the polynomial for the given value.

f(x)=3x^3−2x^2−3x+18

What is the value of f(1) ?

f(1) = 16

to evaluate f(1) substitute x = 1 into f(x)

f(1) = 3 - 2 - 3 + 18 = 16

When 3x³ - 2x² - 3x + 18 is divided by (x - 1 ) the remainder is 16
