Answer: Nickel = 0.4 kg, Zinc = 1.4 kg, Copper = 1.8 kg

Explanation:

Nickel: 2x

Zinc: 7x

Copper: 9x

Total: 3.6 kg

Nickel + Zinc + Copper = Total

2x + 7x + 9x = 3.6

18x = 3.6

(18x)/(18) = (3.6)/(18)

x = 0.2

Nickel: 2x = 2(0.2) = 0.4

Zinc: 7x = 7(0.2) = 1.4

Copper: 9x = 9(0.2) = 1.8
