Given equation is x - 4y = -8

Slope intercept form is y= mx + b

To get slope intercept form we need to get y alone

x - 4y = -8

Subtract x from both sides

x - x - 4y = -8 - x

-4y = -x - 8

Divide both sides by -4


y = (1)/(4) x + 2

Slope = 1/4 and y intercept is +2
