Solution-

The total cost in dollars to buy uniforms for the soccer team players can be found using the function,


y= 28.95x + 4.25

where,

x = number of uniform purchased,

y = cost of uniform.

Putting x =16 we can get the minimum cost and x = 20 we can get at most cost of the uniform or range of the function,


\Rightarrow y= 28.95(16) + 4.25\ and\ y= 28.95(20) + 4.25


\Rightarrow y= 463.2 + 4.25\ and\ y= 579 + 4.25


\Rightarrow y= 467.45\ and\ y= 583.25

Therefore, the range of the function is [467.45, 583.25]
