Jen is Korean American and works as a receptionist. Whenever an Asian client is in the

office, her boss asks her if she will sit in on the meeting to help translate. Just because she is Asian, she is expected to be able to communicate with any Asian, regardless of what language they actually speak. Jen’s experiences are an example of:
