PLEASSEEEEE HELLPP!! Report the results of your Heat Transfer Lab by ordering the 4 substances the ice was sitting on. Put a number 1 on the item that melted first and then place them in order from first to melt the ice to last to melt the ice.

Ice melt fastest on metals and slowest on plastic materials. As metal are conductive material, they allow heat conduction which cause ice to melt faster. Plastic, rubber and foam material are non-conductive. That is why ice will not melt fast. They are also acts as insulating material to prevent ic efrom melting. Below is list in descending order which show the melting of ice from fastest to slowest.

  1. Tin Foil
  2. Bubble wrap (paper)
  3. Cookie sheet (plastic)
  4. Rubber square
