x=10

Since corresponding angles are equal,



4x+y=60---(1)




Alternate angles are also equal, therefore,



8x+y=100---(2)



Equation (2) minus equation (1) gives,




\Rightarrow 4x=40





\Rightarrow x=10




We put
x=10 in to equation (1)






4(10)+y=60




y=60-40





y=20
