To help solve the following equation for y, which number you multiply both sides by to divide out EACH of the fractions leaning whole numbers?: 1/3 y + 5/2=1/8(3y-10)

To divide out each fraction, you must find a common factor.

For 2, 3, and 8, that would be 24. Which is also the lowest possible option to create whole numbere on the left hand side.

Example:

1/3 y + 5/2 = 1/8(3y-10)

24/3 y + 120/2 = 24/8 ......

8y + 60 = 3 .......
