The coordinates of ABC are (-3,4),(0,4),And (2,5). The coordinates of A’B’C’ are (-1.5,2),(0,2) And (1,2.5). How do you know that the transformation is a dilation.

By considering the given points, we can determine that the coordinates have been cut to half or each of the coordinate is divided into two. For instance:

Therefore the later figure will be half in size in comparison to the first one.
