Jonathan finds 52 cents in his car consisting of pennies, nickels, and dimes. He finds 2 more nickels than dimes, and three times as many pennies as nickels. How many of each coin does he find?

Answer:

2 Dimes, 4 Nickels, and 12 Pennies

Explanation:

First we say he has 2 Dimes, since he has 2 more nickels then dimes, that would be 4 nickels, 4 nickels is 20 cents, 2 dimes is 20 cents as well, 20 + 20 is 40, so he has 3 times more pennies then nickels, so 3 x 4 is 12, now lets add 12 and 40 which gives us 52 cents in total, hope this helped!
