In a right triangle two perpendicular legs are 15 cm and 20 cm.

Length of altitude to the hypotenuse =12 cm

The triangle is reflected about it's hypotenuse,

A two dimensional shape is formed which is shown in figure below.

1. The type of 2-D figure formed is Kite.Because in a kite one pair of adjacent sides are equal as well as diagonals bisect each other at right angles.

2. Area of Kite=
2*\text {Area of right triangle having legs measuring 15 cm and 20 cm}=2 * (1)/(2)*15* 20

= 15 × 20= 300 cm²
