Hi. I'm trying very hard to learn all about reflexive verbs. Would these sentences both be correct?

"Manana me levanto a las 7."

and

"Manana tengo que levantarme a las 7."

Basically what I am trying to figure out is whether I can always use both this structure:

me levanto

as well as this structure:

levantarme

and still have a correct sentence.

Thanks!

Answer : Both structures are correct, but the first one uses the normal verb "levantar", that is transitive, and is used to lift anything. By example "Yo puedo levantar 80 Kg", and the direct object of the verb is 80 Kg. The second structure uses the verb "levantarse", which is reflexive, and is used when the subject who performs the action is the same one who receives it, and the corresponding pronoun has to be added . The structure "Tener que" + infinitive + pronoun is perfect for this type of verbs.

Hope this helps!
