Answer:

-7/6

Explanation:

That'd be 21/4 divided by -9/2, or, equivalently, 21/4 times -2/9.

From this we get -42/36, which, when reduced, yields -7/6.

We must transform the mixed numbers to the improper fraction.

5(1)/(4)=(5\cdot4+1)/(4)=(21)/(4)\\\\-2(1)/(4)=-(2\cdot4+1)/(4)=(9)/(4)

Calculate a product:

\left(5(1)/(4)\right):\left(-2(1)/(4)\right)=(21)/(4):\left(-(9)/(4)\right)=-(21)/(\\ot4_1)\cdot(\\ot4^1)/(9)=-(21:3)/(9:3)=-(7)/(3)
