There are many to choose from, but a simple one would be
y = 5, since both points contain a y-value of 5. Remember that
y = 5 is the same thing as
0x + y = 5, in case it causes confusion due to the absence of an
x variable.


Some more equations which would satisfy these points:


  • 5|x| = y

  • y = 5x^2

  • y = \cos(2\pi x) + 4
