Hello,

Question:

What is the slope of a line that passes through (-12, 15) and (0,4)

Solution:

Formula for slope:
(y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

Put the following coordinates into the formula:
(4 - 15)/(0 - (-12))

(4 - 15)/(0 - (-12)) = (4 - 15)/(0 + 12)

Anytime you have something like this - (-x) its always going to be + x!

Simplify:
(-11)/(12)

Slope: -11/12
