-4x-18=22,

I got x= -10, but I'm not sure if that is right. If it is could someone show me step by step and an easy way to remember how to do it.

Set up the equation

- 4x - 18 = 22
Then you want to het the x variable by itself, by elimating 18. So, you add 18 to both sides

- 4x = 40
Then to get x by itself you divide by -4 from both sides

x = - 10
You are correct.
