f(x) = -
(6)/(7) x +
(53)/(7)

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y-intercept )

here m = -
(6)/(7)

partial equation is y = -
(6)/(7) x + c

to find c substitute (3, 5 ) into the partial equation

5 = -
(18)/(7) + c ⇒ c =
(53)/(7)

f(x) = -
(6)/(7) x +
(53)/(7)
