Answer: The number of soccer players is four times the number of volleyball players .

Explanation:

Given : In a school , the ratio of a soccer players to volleyball players is 4:1.

i.e.
\frac{\text{Number of soccer players}}{\text{Number of volleyball players}}=(4)/(1)

Let Number of volleyball players be x. (1)

Then ,
\frac{\text{Number of soccer players}}{\text{x}}=(4)/(1)

Multiply x to the both sides , we get

\text{Number of soccer players}= 4* x

From (1) , we have

\text{Number of soccer players}= 4*\text{Number of volleyball players}

Hence, The number of soccer players is four times the number of volleyball players .
