Because of the Vertical Angles theorem, we know that the two expressions are equal.

6x - 35 = 4x + 11

Add 35 to both sides: 6x = 4x + 46

Subtract 4x from both sides: 2x = 46

Divide by 2 on both sides: x = 23

Now, insert x into one of the equations: 6(23) - 35

138 + 35

103

103 + K = 180

Subtract 103 from both sides: K = 77

K = 77
