If the length of a minute hand in a clock is 28 inches, which of these is the closest to the total area covered by the minute hand after four rotations?

A. 28 sq (square) inches

if the minute hand of the circular clock is 28 inches, that simply means its radius is 28.



\bf \textit{area of a circle}\\\\A=\pi r^2~~\begin{cases}r=radius\\[-0.5em]\hrulefill\\r=28\end{cases}\implies A=\pi 28^2\implies A=784\pi


so it covers that much in 1 rotation, so in 4 rotations that'd be 4(784π) => 3136π.
