The area of the triangle above will equal one half of a rectangle that is 5 units long and 3 units wide

You can see clearly on the figure showing 3 units wide.

the area of a triangle is 1/2 that of a rectangle with the same dimensions to the answer would be 3

A of triangle = 1/2 b*h it is half of the base times the height
