French homework.

Knowing when to use the pronoun tu or vous and related familiar or formal expressions is very important. Tell the following people to do or not to do the things below, using imperatives and appropriate forms (assuming you are a teenager).

Write sentences telling the following people what to do.

1) Your cleaning lady/clean something this afternoon.

2) Your mom/ don't do anything at Easter.

3) Your neighbors/ go to the country during summer vacation.

4) Your friends/ see that movie next week.

Complete each of the following sentences with the correct the correct present tense form of one of the verbs below. Use each verb only once and be sure your answers are logical (I just need help with the last two here).

1- Your cleaning lady/clean sth this afternoon. (vous formal - de politesse)

Pouvez-vous passer l'aspirateur dans le salon cet aprè-midi, s'il vous plaît ?Could you vacuum the living room please ?

Vous passerez l'aspirateur dans le salon cet après-midi.

You will vacuum the living room this afternoon.


2- your neighbors/go to the country during summer vacation. (vous plural)

Voulez-vous venir avec nous à la campagne pendant les vacances d'été ? Would you like to go to the country with us during summer vacation ?

Vous irez à la campagne pendant les vacances d'été. => You will go to the country during summer vacation.



3- Your friends/see that movie next week.(friendS -> vous plural/1 friend ->

Vous irez au cinéma voir ce film la semaine prochaine. (vous plural)

Tu viendras au cinéma voir ce film la semaine prochaine. (tu, if only 1 friend)

You will go to the cinema to see that movie next week.
