Parallel lines have the same a slope.

The slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

A line passes through the points (-2, -4) and (3, 5).

The formula of a slope:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Substitute:

m=(5-(-4))/(3-(-2))=(5+4)/(3+2)=(9)/(5)

Substitute to the slope-intercept form:

Answer:
y=(9)/(5)x+b,\ b\in\mathbb{R}
