Answer: x > 5/4

First, add 25 to both sides

4x² < 25

Then take the square root

4x < 5

Finally, isolate the variable by dividing by 4

x < 5/4

Because you divided, the sign gets flipped

x > 5/4

Hope this helps!

Answer:

x∈(−25,25)

SOLUTION STEPS

4x2−25<0

Add 425 to both sides.

x2<425

Calculate the square root of 425 and get 25. Rewrite 425 as (25)2.

x2<(25)2

Inequality holds for ∣x∣<25.

∣x∣<25

Rewrite ∣x∣<25 as x∈(−25,25).

x∈(−25,25)
