Cuneiform writing was the first written language in the world - 6.000 years old. It was created in Mesopotamia - southern Iraq and it was usually written in small pieces of clay. The way cuneiform writing expressed ideas, and it inspired other people to record stories, to administrate goverments and businesses. This is one of the legacies of cuneiform writing.
Fifteen languages were developed from cuneiform, Old Persian, Akkadian, Elamite, Sumerian, and others.
