There are metaphors:

- Arms like rods of gold set with jewels ( for the groom)
- Head like doves beside streams of water, bathed in milk ( for the groom)
There are also similes:
- Hair like flock of goats (for the bride)
- Lips like scarlet thread ( for the bride)
- Like a young stag (for the groom)
- Cheeks like beds of spices, herbs ( for the groom)
