Explanation:

if 4x + 5y = -10

then 4x = -10 -5y. ---------->(1)

if 4x + 3y = -22

then 4x = -22 -3y. ------------>(2)

from equation (1) & (2) :

then -10 -5y = -22 -3y

then 22 -10 = 5y -3y

12 = 2y

then y=6

substituting in (1) or (2):

then. x= -10
