The point-slope formula:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\\\\m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

We have (-2, 1) and (1, 7).

Substitute:

m=(7-1)/(1-(-2))=(6)/(3)=2

y-1=2(x-(-2))\\\\y-1=2(x+2)
