What is the difference between a drug that is "generic" or "trade name"? And give an example.

difference between a generic drug and a trade name would be that the generic drug is the real name of the drug while the trade name are code names for the drugs
example: marijuana for generic and trade names for it can be pot, tree, zaazaa, leaf etc.
another example can be cocaine for the generic name and the trade name is snow
