9.99s + 7.99s + 4.6 = 53.94

Start off with adding 9.99s and 7.99s

Answer:

2.744160178 or 2.74...

Explanation:

To get what s equals, combine like terms. On the left hand side you have 9.99s+7.99s+4.6. Since the underline numbers have s on the end, you can add them.

17.98s+4.6=53.94. Now you need to isolate s. To do that you need to get rid of 4.6. So since you're adding it to 17.98 you subtract it from itself and 53.94/

17.98s=49.34. To get s isolated and to find what it equals, when a number is beside a variable with nothing in between, it means you multiply. SO to seperate it, you divide it from itself and 49.34

s=2.744160178

9.99s+7.99s+4.6=53.94

17.98s+4.6=53.94 combine terms

17.98s=49.34 subtract 4.6 from both sides

s=2.744160178 isolate s

Hope it helps!
