The “Thylacine”, best kwon as a "Tasmanian Tiger", was kind of a marsupial wolf now extinct. It was a carnivore predator that ambushed its preys.
Thylacines or Tasmanian Tigers were part of the Australian landscape in the past. Two things influenced the diminish of Thylacines: the arrival of men 40,000 years ago, and the dingo dogs brought by men about 4,000 years ago.
The last species of Tasmanian Tigers were taken the island of Tasmania. The last of the species dissapeared in the mid-1930’s.
