point -slope form of a straight:

we have a point (x₀,y₀) and the slope m.

y-y₀=m(x-x₀)

Given two points (x₁,y₁) and (x₂,y₂) the slope will be:

m=(y₂-y₁)/( x₂-x₁) or m=(y₁-y₂)/(x₁-x₂)

In this case:

(2,3)

(4,4)

m=(4-3) / (4-2)=1/2

we can choose the point (2,3) or the point (4,4); the result will be the same.

y-y₀=m(x-x₀)

y-4=1/2(x-4)

y=1/2 x-2+4

y=1/2 x + 2

Answer: the funciton passes through the poinsts (2,3) and (4,4) is:

y=1/2 x+2
