Solve the equation and show your work. Tell whether it has one solution, an infinite number of

solutions, or no solutions, and identify each equation as an identity, a contradiction, or neither

Hello!

To solve for x in algebraic equations, we need to use SADMEP. SADMEP is only used to solve these equation, and our goal is to isolate x. SADMEP is known as: subtraction, addition, division, multiplication, exponents and parentheses.

4x + 8 = 2x + 7 + 2x - 20 (simplify alike terms)

4x + 8 = 4x - 13 (subtract 8 from both sides)

4x = 4x - 21 (subtract 4x from both sides)

0 = -21

This equation has no solutions because 0 is not equal to -21, and is identified as neither because it has no real solutions.
