Solve the equation and show your work. Tell whether it has one solution, an infinite number of

solutions, or no solutions, and identify each equation as an identity, a contradiction, or neither

Hello!

To solve any algebraic equation, you need to use SADMEP. SADMEP is an acronym for subtraction, addition, division, multiplication, exponents and parentheses. Our goal is to isolate the variable, x.

24 - 4x = 15 - 3x + 10 - x (simplify)

24 - 4x = 25 - 4x (subtract 24 from both sides)

-4x = 1 - 4x (add 4x to both sides)

1 = 0

This equation has no solutions because 1 and 0 are never equal to each other, which means that this is identified to be neither because it has no real solutions.
