The Fundamental Orders of the Connecticut colony concil describe the structures and powers for the goverment set up. They have characteristics of a Constitution, and are even considered by some the first written constitution. The state of Connecticut received the nickname of the Constitution State. One of the rights they offered was of voting. Another important point is that they established Conneticut as a self-ruled colony.
