What is slope of the line parallel to the line containing points (2,5) and (6,-11)

The parallel lines have the same slope.

The formula of a slope:


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

We have the points (2, 5) and (6, -11).

Substitute:


m=(-11-5)/(6-2)=(-16)/(4)=-4
