Move the decimal places of both numbers to the right by one, then divide normally.

For this case we have a division with decimals:

0.7 ÷ 4

This can be rewritten as:

((7)/(10))/(4)

By definition, we have the following:

((a)/(b))/(c)=

((a)/(b))/((c)/(1))=

((a * 1))/((b * c))=

(a)/((b * c))

So,

((7)/(10))/(4)=

((7)/(10))/((4)/(1))=

((7 * 1))/((10 * 4))=

(7)/(40)= 0.175

Answer:

(7)/(40)= 0.175
