Help me solve this 7(x+4)-10=3x+20+4x-2

distribute

7x+28-10=3x+20+4x

combine like terms

7x+18=7x+20

subtract 7x from both sides

7x+18=7x+20

-7x -7x

you get

18=20

so there is no solution
