Answer:

Martin's sister's age (x) = Martin's age (y)+6

Explanation:

Solving it a with little more algebra

Martin: y

Martin's sister: x

x+y ≤ 22

y=x-6

x+x-6 ≤ 22

2x-6=22 or 2x -6 <22

Let's start with the highest sum: 22

2x-6=22

2x-6+6=22+6

2x=28

x=14

If x=14 (Martin's sister's age) then Martin's age (y) is 8 years old

But also, other ages satisfy this condition (no more than 22) x+y ≤ 22

x=13, y= 7 | x+y ≤ 22

x= 12 y=6 | x+y ≤ 22 (...)

Martin's sister's age (x) = Martin's age (y)+6 years
