Scientific notation:

a\cdot10^k where
1\leq a < 10 and
k\in\mathbb{Z}

((4.8\cdot10^6)(3.6\cdot10^3))/(2\cdot10^5)

use associstive and commutative property

=((4.8\cdot3.6)(10^6\cdot10^3))/(2\cdot10^5)

use
a^n\cdot a^m=a^(n+m)

=(17.28\cdot10^9)/(2\cdot10^5)=(17.28)/(2)\cdot(10^9)/(10^5)

use
(a^n)/(a^m)=a^(n-m)

=8.64\cdot10^4

Answer:

((4.8\cdot10^6)(3.6\cdot10^3))/(2\cdot10^5)=8.64\cdot10^4

(4.8 x 10^6)(3.6 x 10^3) / (2 x 10^5)

= (4.8 x 3.6) x 10^(6+3) / 2 x 10^5

= 17.28 x 10^9 / 2 x 10^5

= (17.28 / 2) x 10^(9 - 5)

= 8. 64 x 10^4
