Answer: y = x - 2

To graph the following equation , use y intercept to determine where the line will cross the y axis, so count the units from the value b (-2) . From that point (b) ,use the slope value m = 1) to find the second point to plot the graph. Join,the two points to draw the line

Solution:

To find the the equation use first find the slope using the equation:

m= y2-y1/x2-x1

m= 1-2/3-4

m= 1

Now use the equation below to find the y intercept (b), use any one pair of the coordinates to find the y intercept

y = mx + b in this case i used (4,2)

2 = (1)(4) + b

-2 = b

So

y = x -2 answer
